Amazon preparation tips

  • For every problem, state the brute force first, then optimise. The interviewer wants to see how you think.
  • Read Amazon's Leadership Principles and prepare a STAR story (Situation, Task, Action, Result) for each.
  • After writing code, dry-run it yourself and call out edge cases.
  • Aim to solve medium problems in 30-35 minutes.
  • Before applying via referral or off-campus, make sure every number on your resume is true and verifiable.
